And the first collaboration for itsme^® in the Dutch public domain is with…

From now on, the itsme^® identity app can also be used in the Netherlands, in both the private and public sectors. And it is with great pride that we can also immediately announce our first collaboration in the Dutch public domain, namely with the city of Rotterdam.

So, from now on, you can also use itsme^® in the Netherlands as a secure and easy-to-use way to identify yourself, log in, confirm transactions and sign documents. Both companies and government bodies can now incorporate our identity app within their secure environment. Just like Rotterdam, the first in the Dutch public domain to do so. At the moment, this integration is limited to the identification of employees and citizens. Which means that qualified signature with itsme^® is not one of the features offered for the time being.

“Rotterdam will incorporate the itsme^® method of identification into its Identity & Access Management (IAM) programme, in conjunction with the technology of partners ForgeRock, CyberArk and SailPoint,” states Ingrid Ronodikromo, IAM project manager. This means that employees and citizens will now be able to identify themselves via itsme^®. “In doing so, we are following the line taken by the European Commission in terms of privacy, digital identity, cybersecurity and data sovereignty.”
