itsme® helps bpost to simplify sending and receiving registered mail
With itsme®, receiving registered mail through the bpost app has become exceptionally convenient. Users can verify their identity with itsme® within the app to access their registered mail, set up mail preferences and authorize third parties to receive the registered mail on their behalf, all while maintaining the legal validity of the registered mail.
Simplifying registered mail
Registered mail remains a trusted method for sending important documents, both for individuals and businesses. Often used for sending crucial items such as contracts, legal letters, invoices, or official communications, it is vital to be able to prove that the mail was sent and received by the right person.
However, recipients aren't always available when the mail arrives and a signature is required, especially for active people who may not be home or able to visit the post office during regular hours. Bpost wanted to simplify that process, particularly for those frequently on the move.
Identification with itsme®
Given the legal value of registered mail, secure identification is crucial when digitalizing the handling of registered mail. With itsme®, the process of managing registered mail has become easier while also being secure. People can now choose to identify themselves via itsme® in the My bpost app and thus accept the registered mail. In the same way, they can change their receiving preferences.
Higher delivery success rate
The newest itsme® integration enables bpost to enhance the success rate of delivered letters and significantly reduce the need for visits to postal offices. It also contributes to shorter wait times at post offices. For the user, the identification process with itsme® happens seamlessly, aligning perfectly with bpost's commitment to delivering customer-centric journeys and driving innovation across their channels.
This new collaboration with itsme® enables 7.2 million Belgian users to handle registered mail more swiftly and efficiently.
